Understanding the CarePortals Platform
The CarePortals platform is built into three distinct portals that work together to manage all aspects of your brand. Each portal serves a specific function. The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Portal is used for configuration, workflow automation, and marketing, the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Portal is for daily operational tasks, and the Patient Portal is the interface for end-users.
CRM Portal
Use the CRM Portal as the central hub to set up and manage your system's core features. This is where you will configure workflow automations, products, manage user roles, and run marketing campaigns. Changes made here directly impact the EMR and Patient Portals.
EMR Portal
Your healthcare and operations team will use the EMR Portal to manage daily patient care. Use it to oversee patient information, manage incoming orders, and handle day-to-day service delivery tasks.
Patient Portal
CarePortals is a white-label platform, which allows you to brand the Patient Portal to match your organization’s identity. You can customize the portal's domain, logo, color, theme, and services offered to create a seamless experience for your patients.
Through this portal, patients can manage their subscriptions, track orders, and communicate with your medical team. The options available to them are determined by the settings you configure in the CRM.
Who Uses Each Platform?
Each portal is designed for a specific set of users and functions. The following table outlines who uses each platform:
Portal | Primary Users | Key Activities |
---|---|---|
EMR Portal | Operations Teams, Customer Support, In-house Physicians | Manage patient orders, track shipments, review patient records, and chat with patients. |
CRM Portal | Administrative Staff, Marketing Teams, Devs | Perform initial setup, create products and coupons, manage user accounts, and set up marketing campaigns and automated workflows. |
Patient Portal | Patients (End-Users) | Create an account, submit medical forms, track orders, manage subscriptions, check out, and process payments. |
While marketing teams primarily use the CRM Portal and operational teams use the EMR Portal, user access is determined by assigned roles. An administrator can set specific permissions, meaning some users may have access to more than one portal depending on their responsibilities.
